A New Year's Promise

First of all I want to thank all of you who make a daily stop by this humble blog. The blogging has been rather light lately. There are several reasons for this starting with the holidays. Also the news out of Cuba lately has been of the "holding pattern" variety while the castro sychophants rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic. In order to blog you need inspiration and a lot of the stuff I've seen lately is less than inspiring.

Lastly, I've been dedicating a lot of time to my new blog, Saurian Sagacity. Although it's been quick to take off, there's not a lot of overlap in the readership between that blog and this one because that blog is focused on University of Florida athletics. Of course I've been consumed with my beloved Gators making it to the BCS Championship Game in football. In fact I am heading out to Glendale, Arizona tomorrow (Monday) morning for the game.

So here's my promise. When I get back from Arizona I promise to redouble my efforts to do my part to bring you information and commentary about Cuba from a decidedly anti-castro point of view.

See you in a couple of days. In the meantime perhaps Cigar Mike, who has been dealing with personal matters himself, can make a couple of appearances.

All the best and Go Gators!
