Musings on Liberals

Many a liberal try to paint the US as this evil ogre that is using and abusing the Island of Cuba. They declare: "Abuse and secrecy at Guantanamo!," and "Stop the Embargo!."

Many in the Cuban-American community are tired of the likes of these lines. We have argued and argued on how the Liberal mind is a fervent chimera lacking little to no basis in reality. As a matter of fact, Liberal mentality can be summed up like this: the taking of one, only one, source and charging it with an explosive passion within the vacuum of mind and the frenzy of the heart. Once done they take that exploded charge and run out into the streets venting their passion in protests, songs, desires for revolution/anarchy, and when all is said and done they whine as fat balloon vents it's empty air. Upon finishing, they get tired and retreat to their every day life, awaiting for another cause to get explosive about.

For the Liberals in the world I can only repeat this:

When the tongue or the pen is let loose in a frenzy of passion, it is the man, and not the subject, that becomes exhausted. -Thomas Paine

I have never met a Liberal who can exhaust a subject: they whine, like Bill Clinton; cry, like John Kerry; or shout, like Howard Dean. And they do so until they tire themselves into hiding.

In lieu of all of this, here is some small doses of reality for my Liberal friends:

Reality check regarding Guantamo: US invites European critic for Guantanamo visit

Reality check regarding the "Embargo": US state signs Cuban trade deal

I would post more links, but I might overwhelm any Liberal who would read this and maybe, just maybe, learn something.
