Cuban Athletes Defect

According to cubaencuentro.com, two members of the Cuban badminton team were no-shows to their Central American and Caribbean Games events in the Dominican Republic. The two, Yunier Álvarez and Isaura Medina join 3 handball players, Damaris Nay, Julio Acosta and Carlos Castillo in abandoning the Cuban national team, the competition and their country.
