To Die in Cuba...

No, not the famous book about suicide in Cuba, but the story of a 9-year old Scottish tourist who died at a Cuban resort.

It's a sad sad thing, but something really bothers me about a quote from the girl's mother in this Times of London article.

"I am devastated that my little angel has gone but I am so glad that she didn’t suffer any pain and that she died in paradise...”
If only it had been you instead of her Mrs. Thompson, then I could say it was karma for frolicking in the "paradise" of an enslaved country, but your daughter was innocent.

That's what the mother read in the travel brochure, "it's paradise."
