Otro come mierda. All these ignorant Hollywood twits should have all their property and assets confiscated at gunpoint and you'll see them singing a different tune.

srcohiba...isn't that the same thing Castro did when he took over? Besides, how do you know what's printed there is true? I mean, lets think about it now. We're talking about a Cuban newspaper. Considering the uncertainty right now, they're willing to say anything to appease the government right now.

Also, I just found out that Benicio will be playing Che in a new movie, so it's possible he's trying to be nice to all those on the island while he researches the man himself. On Benicio del Toro.com

Lissette,

I think Sr. Cohiba was using sarcasm to make the point that it's easy to back fidel castro from outside where you don't have to live under his thumb like Cubans do. That they would be singing a different tune if they actually had to live in the system they tout.

As far as Benicio del Toro adding his name to list of hollywood types that are in "solidarity with Cuba" Prensa Latina doesn't get stuff like THAT wrong. It would be to easy for him to out and say it was bullshit, besides what makes you think he's not like all the other lefty actors that say the same shit? What makes him different?

You don't need to be nice to to tyrants to research a role. We've known about this movie for a while now. I'm not holding my breath for it to be a true account of the murderous bastard Guevara's life. It'll be another romantic vision of the modern day Robin Hood.

It really would be very sad for me to see a fellow Puerto Rican, specially one who bears the name Del Toro, my grandmothers maiden name and also from San German, to play the role of the muderer che guevara. Que vergüenza!

I don't have a problem with him playing Guevara. I have a problem with him playing a sypathetic, heroic Guevara because it would be another tremendouse lie.

Lisette, I was making the point that it's easy to appear empathetic to criminals and murderers from a distance. But a different opinion is usually the case when one is an actual victim.

i.e. Those bleeding hearts thinking that criminals should be rehabilitated change their minds when they're the victim of a crime.

Hollywood is famous for always empathizing and making heroes of criminals and murderers and scumbags and then portraying what is good about this country as evil.

Hence why I don't watch hollywood movies and I stick to sports and documentaries on the history channel
