What passes for news...

Quick, do a news search for "castro". You'll find a wave of stories proclaiming in their headlines that fidel castro is recovering from his surgery. But when you read the articles you'll notice those claims have not been independently verified by anyone. In fact, we don't even know if castro ever even had surgery. He could be snorkeling in Cayo Coco right now, for all we know. A lot of these news outlets could have a lot of egg on their face if castro is dead (and has been for a while).

The only people claiming that fidel is recuperating are Cuban government officials. There are no pictures, no outside news reports, nothing.
