Blogger is sucking
I didn't start this blog, I joined it. So I didn't have any say in which provider we use. Blogger has many positive traits. First off it's free. The interface is easy to use and very functional. It has limitations, but overall it's a good service. But lately it seems that their servers are slow, pages take forever to load, if they load at all. There are the all too frequent down times for service, and at inconvenient hours like peak hours. It's all getting worse.
The problem is that although we can move the blog somewhere else, I own the URL cubanamericanpundits.com, we have all of our archives on blogger. Google has all of our pages cached and that obviously means increased traffic.
I have a solution for blogger, if only I could get in touch with someone. Why not bring back the premium version of blogger where the blog owners pay a yearly fee for dedicated server space and certain guarantees of service (maintenence only in the late night hours, etc.)? I would gladly subscribe to such a service.
Hopefully when I click "Publish Post" on this entry it will post and not leave me hanging for several minutes. I won't hold my breath.

How much will you be willing to pay for such a yearly fee?
I don't know. That would depend on what they would offer. And it might depend on how much server space you use. I think between $30 and $100 a year is reasonable depending on these things.
