We get letters...

From the CubanAmericanPundits.com Mailbag:

Subject: Is Prof. Marifeli Perez-Stable still being controlled by Cuban espionage?

Last night, Prof. Marifeli Perez-Stable appeared in Miami’s “Polos Opuestos” TV program on the first anniversary of Fidel Castro’s demise from power. She was suspiciously dressed in red and black, the colors of Castro’s 26 of July Movement.

On July 15, 1983, Cuban Directorate General of Intelligence (DGI) Captain Jesus Perez Mendez defected in Miami and told the FBI in a debriefing that Perez-Stable was “controlled by the DGI.”

Some people who saw Perez-Stable on TV in the revolutionary red and black attire, a combination that Castro supporters wear when they attend Fidel Castro’s rallies, were left wondering if she still has links to the Cuban DGI. A few months ago, Prof. Perez-Stable refused to respond to /Miami Herald/ reporter Miriam Marquez when questioned about the allegations made by defector Perez Mendez.
