The Ultimate Football Weekend
I thought I'd let you in on a little of "Conductor's" personal life. I'm a big sports fan. I once even owned a sports gift shop and it was great. This was my weekend. Got off work at 3:00 PM on Friday. Drove across town (From Miami Beach to SW 8th and 127th Avenue) to my High School Alma Mater, Belen. Got there during halftime of our varsity game against Key West. We won, clinching the first District championship in school history. Drove home (107th Avenue and 117th Street) and picked up my wife. Drove to Ocala, Florida and arrived at 1 AM. Saturday morning, drove to Gainesville. Spent all day on campus of my college Alma Mater, The University of Florida, and then watched the Gators take on a better than usual Vanderbilt team. The Gators won in double overtime keeping their hopes of representing the east in the SEC championship game alive. Drove back to our hotel in Ocala, arrived 1:00 AM and fell asllep at 2:00 AM. Woke up at 7:00 AM and drove to Miami, where my wife dropped me off at Dolphin Stadium to watch the Dolphins take on the Atlanta Falcons. I almost came away with a winning trifecta but it was not to be.
I'm exausted right now. The one thing I will mention is that at the Gator game we were way in the upper deck and by the time the game ended the temp was in the mid 50's. I didn't have a jacket and was freezing my ass off. At the Dolphin game it was 150 degrees and now I have sunburn in addition to my windburn from the night before.
