Cuban Shenanigans at WBC
I have a new car. It's a Cadillac CTS. One of the things I love about it is that it came with XM satellite radio installed and free 3-month trial subscription. On my way to Radio Mambi today I tuned in to the Cuba/Panama game on the radio. It was supposed to start at 1:05 PM but at 1:10 the announcers were still filling time. As it turns out the teams are supposed to submit their starting lineup no later than 30 minutes before the first pitch. Apparently the Cuban team submitted a lineup only to change it and change it again before the first pitch. They caused a delay of more than 7 minutes. That doesn't sound like much but try telling that to ESPN. The announcers on XM called it gamesmanship, but I call it more of the same old castro bullcrap. Cuba has to be the center of attention. Cuba just took a two-run lead in the top of the 10th. Too bad, I wanted them to go down to Panama. With this win, it's almost a lock that Cuba will advance to the next round. But I doubt they'll get past Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in the next round. That Cuban team will never reach the mainland US.

Maybe the Cubans were confusing the names in the team roster; the Yulexis with the Yulieski or the Yuneski. WTF?
