Apples and Oranges

I've seen this sentiment a couple of times in the last few days.

President Bush thinks he could help Cubans build a better post-Castro future? Looking at post-Saddam Hussein Iraq, I think President Bush should stay out of Cuba lest we waste billions of tax dollars trying to force his way on another country.
Dude, you're a genius geniass. Don't let you're irrational hatred of our president get in the way of reality. Cuba is not Iraq. Cuba couldn't be more different from Iraq. So go back to listening to Air America or whatever you jackasses do.

The real question is what to do? Raul won't survive fielito for long, I suspect. How many other dictator-wannabes are in fidelito's circle? How long, in fact, after the Goat dies will it be before a new government asks the US for relations? Would the US will be willing to put a toe in those waters?

I'd hate to see the Lefties here mince into a castroless Cuba and try to pull the same crap they did with Ortega and the Sandinistas. Cuba has suffered enough. They are not Russia, I hope, with a penchant for the strong Leader. Russia is slipping back into a Soviet-style regime. I'd hate to see Cuba rid of castro, and then slipping under another strongman.
