The Lost City Soundtrack

I've been getting some questions about the soundtrack, and here's what I been able to put together:

There was apparently some heavy hesitation in producing the CD. As we know it took 16 years for Andy Garcia to make this movie. Prior to making the movie, Andy Garcia and Emilio Estefan produced a 2 CD special called "The Best of Cachao". In it there is the bulk of the music used in the movie. I'm guessing it was a way to produce the music for the movie, and make some money while doing it. Perhaps we can say it is an unofficial soundtrack to the movie. Even on the DVD Garcia makes mention of how such and such song is on the Cachao CD. With that said, I did pre-order a Lost City Soundtrack, but at best it keeps getting delayed. I think it now comes out in late August, and I have no clue as to what it may contain (probably some Cervantes, Lecuona, and Andy Garcia's own pieces.)

I'll fill you in when it gets here.
