Miami's Catholic Super Bowl
Today at 7:00 PM my alma mater, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School takes on Christopher Columbus High School in an exhibition game. This is only the second time the two schools face off in football. Belen is not known for its football and is a much smaller school. It's a Jesuit school that prides itself in delivering community leaders (Miami's Mayor for example) and men for others to the community. Columbus is run by Marist brothers. They've always been known for having good football teams and have won state championships in the past.
Last year Belen lost 21-7 after leading 7-0 at halftime. Let's put this way Belen has nothing to lose and Columbus has everything to lose. Last year the crowd filled the stadium at Florida International University and I expect it to be filled again.
Wish us luck!
