Important Cuban historical figure dies

No. No him. Not yet.

I was notified by a close friend that an announcement appeared in today's El Nuevo Herald stating that Coronel Florentino E. Rosell y Leyva had died on January 22nd. If you are wondering who this person was and why he's important I suggest you read the story of the Tren Blindado at my web site, trenblindado.com.

A while back I had received an email from one of his sons who said that the Colonel would be happy to talk to me about this important episode in Cuban history. Then he stopped responding to my messages. Too bad. The truth about the armored train and the battle of Santa Clara probably went to the grave with him.
